University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital recently launched its Fall 2009 advertising campaign, which focuses on the experiences of real hospital patients. Focused on reaching Twin Cities parents, the campaign promotes the benefits of academic medicine. Because our physicians and nurses not only deliver the latest innovations – they create them – University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital is the best place to receive specialty care for common to complex pediatric and maternal-fetal health conditions, right from the start.
Through the campaign, parents will be introduced to nine patients with conditions ranging from asthma, diabetes and high-risk pregnancy to cancer and heart conditions. These patients will be seen via television, newspaper, billboard, magazine and Web advertisements and social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
At the uofmchildrenshospital.org site, parents are invited to meet more of our patients and tour the future of University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital. Visitors will find links to more extensive information about each patient's condition and successful outcome, in-depth video interviews with each family, additional photos, links to related content and a robust 3-D virtual tour of the new University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, set to open in 2011.
