We provide therapy to children with conditions such as:
Symptoms include:
- Diarrhea
- Fatigue
- Pale, greasy stools
- Swelling, especially of the legs
- Foul-smelling stools
- Weight loss
Severe complications of total parenteral nutrition therapy ( intravenous feeding)
Symptoms include:
- Distended neck veins
- Swelling of the face
Intestinal obstructions, or blockage in the small intestine
Symptoms include:
- Abdominal cramps that come and go
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Constipation
- Inability to have a bowel movement or pass gas
- Swelling of the abdomen
Congenital intestinal atresia, or incomplete forming of the intestine
Symptoms include:
- No stool passed
- Swollen belly from gas
- Vomiting (vomit may be yellow or greenish in color)
- Lack of desire to eat
Intestinal tumors
Symptoms include:
- A change in your bowel habits, including diarrhea or constipation or a change in the consistency of your stool
- Rectal bleeding or blood in your stool
- Persistent abdominal discomfort, such as cramps, gas or pain
- A feeling that your bowel doesn't empty completely
- Weakness or fatigue
- Unexplained weight loss
Intestinal failure
Symptoms include:
- Diarrhea
- Bloating
- Vomiting
- Weakness
- Extreme tiredness (fatigue)
