What is Kids’ Council?
Kids’ Council is a group of children and teens who are former specialty clinic or hospital patients who meet several times a year to talk with staff members about their experiences as a patient.
Why have a Kids’ Council?
It gives kids an opportunity to share their ideas and suggestions about how to improve care at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview and the specialty clinics. People that work at the hospital can learn directly from children and teens about being in the hospital or going to the clinic.
Who can be a member of Kids’ Council?
Kids 8 years and older who are or have been patients in the hospital or clinics at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview.
When are Kids’ Council meetings?
The council meets four times a year from 5:30-7 p.m. for a meal and meeting.
