• Routines may be altered (feedings, sleeping schedule, etc.)
• Multiple caregivers may interfere with your baby’s sense of security

Ways to support your baby’s development in a hospital setting

• Have parent or primary caregiver present
• Follow routines if possible
• Bring familiar items from home (toy, blanket, etc.)
• Fill out “Things To Know About Me” and post over crib
• Use crib as a safe space
• Avoid the crib for any type of procedure
