Inpatient & Day Treatment Programs

University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview’s Child and Adolescent Behavioral Services has one of the largest inpatient mental health programs in the nation and is the only children’s (age 12 and under) behavioral unit in Minnesota. Our program provides immediate intervention and evaluation, individual and family therapy, development resources and comprehensive discharge planning that address the patient’s full range of emotional and behavioral issues. The levels of services also include partial stay, crisis lodging and day treatment program options to serve the needs of children and adolescents as appropriate.

Outpatient Individual / Outpatient Family Counseling

Fairview Counseling Centers provide outpatient psychotherapy for children and adolescents in a variety of locations in the Twin Cities metropolitan and outlying areas to help provide the support and treatment families need closer to home.

Chemical Dependency

University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview and Fairview’s Child and Adolescent Behavioral Services offer inpatient and outpatient treatment options to help adolescents recognize and change negative patterns through a complete therapy program, including group therapy, individual counseling and the development of a personal treatment plan. Our levels of care include short-term outpatient preparation, short-term stabilization, lodging plus and outpatient and recovery management services.
