This treatment option is for children who have not had long term success with other methods of weight loss and are suffering from significant complications as a result of being significantly overweight. University of Minnesota Children's Hospital, Fairview is a national leader in performing surgical weight management procedures on pediatric and adolescent patients. We are a PreferredOne Center of Excellence and an American Society for Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence.
