Radiation therapy is sometimes necessary for children. University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview is home to the Radiation Oncology Clinic—a place where health care professionals use both compassion and leading-edge technology to treat children with a variety of conditions.
We work in close collaboration with pediatric oncology, and with specialists in otolaryngology, ophthalmology, neurosurgery, general and thoracic surgery. We also work in partnership with pediatric anesthesiology, to help children relax and remain still during radiation therapy.
Our providers participate in multidisciplinary conferences to review cases and share information. We also are active in research at the University of Minnesota and with colleagues around the nation in our efforts to continually advance patient care.
