The Weight Management Program at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital helps children achieve healthier lifestyles by helping them address the medical, nutritional and emotional issues that relate to their weight. Many of the health problems that affect adults often begin in childhood and relate to obesity. Such problems include diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke and heart disease.
Staff att the Weight Management Program at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital helps patients make steady progress that can lead to healthy patterns. We encourage our patients to make small, positive steps such as increasing activity and eating healthy foods - goals that help them achieve a healthy weight and establish healthy, lifelong patterns.
