Children with serious infections or unusual susceptibility to infections receive the highest quality of care at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview. Our pediatric infectious disease and immunology experts provide leading-edge treatments which, in many cases, are made possible by our extensive research programs.
We evaluate and treat children with a wide range of diseases and immunodeficiency disorders—from the most common infections to polio. Our physicians also consult with other specialists who care for neonatal, cancer, dialysis and blood and marrow transplant patients because these conditions often predispose patients to problems with immunodeficiency and infectious disease.
We are very active in disease prevention and education in the community working closely with the Minnesota Department of Health.
