The mission of the University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital Department of Pediatrics is to generate new knowledge through research, to apply this new knowledge to the highest quality health care for the prevention and treatment of illness in children and to provide the best possible education for the next generation of medical students, physicians and other health professionals in childhood disease prevention, treatment, research and advocacy. Through this mission, the Department seeks to improve the lives of children in our community, nation and the world.

To attain this goal, we partner with community hospitals, clinics and other health care and community organizations to enhance the availability of education regarding all areas of pediatric care. These educational opportunities can be set up as grand rounds events, lunch-and-greet meetings or evening continuing medical education events. Our goal is to give you access to the information regarding clinical practice that will be useful and helpful to your practice.
