Hospitalists
Knowing the importance of continuity of care, University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital created an inpatient pediatric hospitalist program - the first of its kind in the Twin Cities. The duties of a hospitalist include all aspects of patient care - from admission to discharge - as well as teaching, research and administrative responsibilities. Hospitalists manage and coordinate the entire inpatient episode of care, working closely with the patient's primary care physician and/or specialists involved.
