Children, adolescents and young adults with emotional or behavioral difficulties can find the help they need at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview.
One of the first of its kind, our Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics Program offers diagnosis of and treatment for a wide range of conditions. As one of the first Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics programs to be nationally accredited, we offer the expertise of a world-renowned behavioral pediatrics program in an environment that supports children and their family members.
Children with conditions including ADHD and related disorders, autism, Tourette’s Disorder and various behavioral conditions such as sleep-cycle problems, nail biting, headaches and a wide array of habit disorders receive leading-edge care from experienced experts at the Pediatric Specialty Clinic. Common conditions treated include disorders of elimination (bedwetting, soiling), anxiety, depression, recurrent pain problems and adjustment problems.
We also collaborate with colleagues in the integrated KDWB Pediatrics Family Center, including the STAR Center for Family Health, the Pediatric Psychology Group and the U Special Kids Program, which coordinates care and advocates for children with complex medical conditions.
