Inpatient Services
During your child’s hospital stay at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview, our pediatric clinical dietitians work with the medical team to ensure your child’s nutritional needs are being met.  All children are screened during the admission process to identify nutritional risk factors.  Children with nutritional risk factors and those that develop nutrition problems are closely followed by our pediatric dietitians during their entire hospital visit.

Outpatient Services
Our pediatric dietitians are available for outpatient consultations.  Referrals can be made through your child’s primary doctor and/or a specialist at University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview.  Our dietitians work closely with the doctor and family to address nutritional issues and set specific goals.  Follow up is important to the success of dietary compliance. The University of Minnesota Children's Hospital, Fairview pediatric dietitians will work closely with you, your child and your health care providers between clinic appointments to ensure your child is meeting his or her nutrition goals.
