Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children's Hospital

The Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center in the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry has an interdisciplinary team of specialists that collaborate to facilitate family-centered care for patients with a variety of conditions due to facial and dental anomalies. The Center has three teams: the Cleft Palate team, the Craniofacial team, and the 22q/VCFS team. Individual consults with our providers also are available.

We provide advanced specialty care at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, as well as consultative and community-based services. Our interdisciplinary team of surgical, medical, dental, psychosocial, and speech and hearing professionals, meets face-to-face to provide comprehensive and integrated information about patients’ diagnoses, treatment needs and priorities, and long-term care necessities. We use state-of-the-art diagnostic services including 3-D reconstruction models and advanced analysis of speech disorders.

At the Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Center, we believe that the most effective, efficient and cost-saving care management is accomplished with a team approach to care.
