Family Involvement
When a child experiences emotional or behavioral problems, all family members are afected. In the Children’s Day Therapy Program, the family is offered reassurance, education, and support. We expect families to participate in the treatment process. Family therapy and parent education provide
opportunities for parents and other family members to learn more about the reasons behind the child’s behavior and learn efective parenting skills. An ongoing assessment of the child’s progress and response to treatment will be made throughout the hospitalization. Evaluation results will be shared with parents and appropriate community professionals.
