At University of Minnesota Children’s Hospital, Fairview, a nationally and internationally recognized team of pediatric hematologist/oncologists provides comprehensive care for children with a wide range of malignant and non-malignant diseases. Expert consultation and management is available for children with anemia, including Sickle Cell Disease and congenital anemias, disorders of blood clotting (both bleeding and thrombotic disorders), cancer, immune deficiency and for long-term survivors of childhood cancers.
We have access to conventional as well as innovative therapies created at the University of Minnesota and throughout the United States. Many new cancer treatments for children with cancer were developed by University of Minnesota Physicians and are now part of national treatment standards used across the nation.
