Autism
The Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) Clinic at University of Minnesota Children's Hospital, Fairview is an interdisciplinary clinic that brings together a campus and community-wide collaboration of clinicians, researchers and families to foster excellence in clinical care for children and families with ASD. The clinic is staffed by specialists in developmental/behavioral pediatrics, psychology and neuropsychology. It is also part of a university- wide effort to foster clinical research and basic science research into the clinical and biological underpinnings of these disorders.
The broad objectives of the program include:
(1) Providing a state-of-the-art, multidisciplinary center for the evaluation and diagnosis of ASD,
(2) Working closely with families and community outreach,
(3) Collaborating with other providers, and
(4) Fostering clinical training and research efforts.
