Services We Provide

Systematic, diagnostic evaluation by an interdisciplinary team which includes:

• Compilation and review of existing medical and school records
• A medical and neurodevelopmental examination including extensive medical and developmental histories
• Parent and teacher questionnaires, parent rating scales and parent interviews to obtain a better understanding of past functioning and presentation of symptoms
• Cognitive (IQ), developmental, adaptive functioning and speech/language assessment as needed
• Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) testing; an interactive, structured behavioral observation of social and communicative behavior and play necessary for the accurate diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorders
• Exploration of the impact that the child’s behavior has on the family and the family factors influencing the child’s functioning
• All aspects of the evaluation are reviewed by an interdisciplinary team
• A team summary conference with parents to review findings and to develop an action plan based on areas of need
• Assistance connecting children and families to resources in their community

• Medication management ,as needed
• Genetic, laboratory and neuro-imaging evaluations, as needed
• Referrals for consultations with other disciplines, as needed
• Neuropsychological assessment
• Regular follow-ups to monitor developmental progress and response to intervention
