Allergy and asthma specialists at University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital provide comprehensive care for children who have allergies and asthma. Our specialists perform testing to determine patients’ allergies and devise treatment plans accordingly. Our specialists also evaluate patients for conditions, such as hives, and adverse food and drug reactions, as that might result from asthma and allergies.

At University of Minnesota Amplatz Children’s Hospital, we have a pulmonary laboratory that offers various state-of-the-art tests to help diagnose pulmonary illnesses. For patients who already have a confirmed pulmonary disease diagnosis, specialists at the pulmonary laboratory can determine the severity of a patient’s disease. Because of the hospital’s onsite laboratory, patients and their families, and their primary-care physicians, can often receive test results the same day.
