Crisis Intervention
This program provides immediate intervention, evaluation and discharge planning. Our goal during a patient’s brief stay is to resolve the current crisis, help the adolescent and family develop coping mechanisms, and develop a plan for follow-up. We help identify problems, develop coping strategies, set goals, and facilitate discharge planning. Depending upon discharge recommendations, a client may return home or transfer to an appropriate
inpatient or outpatient program.|
Treatment
Assessment, intervention, therapy and comprehensive discharge planning is provided for clients experiencing signifcant emotional and/or behavioral problems. An individualized treatment plan is designed with selected components from our wide variety of services. Daily individual and group activities help adolescents learn to set and reach goals, develop communication skills and resolve conficts constructively.
Open Programming
Open programming is an inpatient option that gives clients the opportunity to experience a more typical adolescent day by attending school, therapy groups, and recreational and occupational activities in an unlocked stetting. This less restrictive schedule helps develop independence and responsibility in a structured environment.
Intensive Treatment Unit
The Intensive Treatment Unit is a unit within a unit. It is for adolescents who need a less stimulating environment and more supervised care.
Family Involvement
Family involvement is a central component of our philosophy. Family members are expected to participate in the assessment process and attend regular family therapy sessions. Participation in family therapy will support all family members to better understand and cope with the impact of emotional and behavioral disturbance.
