Fairview Recovery Services offers the Adolescent Chemical Dependency Program for adolescents 12 to 18 and their families. The program is a 5-7 day assessment of an adolescents chemical use, as well as all other areas of their life. Following the completion of the assessment a referral will be made to an appropriate treatment setting.
Psychiatrists and residents from the University of Minnesota Department of Psychiatry have a prominent role in the emergency department, behavioral inpatient units, and within the outpatient clinics on the Riverside campus of Fairview-University Medical Center. The teaching teams share their knowledge and skills with hospital personnel, medical students and other physicians, and can work with specialized client populations to meet their distinct care needs.
Our programs are designed to address the emotional, social, cultural, spiritual and physical needs of each adolescent and family. A wide range of inpatient and outpatient treatment options are available and each program combines cognitive behavioral approaches with the philosophy of 12 Step programs.
